As London experiences its first heatwave of the year, I thought it a good time to list my favourite ice cream parlours in London to help cool down the children during your holiday.

Chin Chin, 54 Greek St, London W1D 3DS: Chin Chin's mission is to make life more fun; in 2010 they took a small, crumbling shop in Camden and started making ice cream with liquid nitrogen. Hand churning with liquid nitrogen they felt was better than any other method. Chin Chin means many things in many languages, to me it means Cheers!

Badiani, 2 Mercer Walk, London WC2H 9QP: In 2015, they opened their first store within Mercato Metropolitano and a dedicated laboratory in Battersea. Today, they have over 10 shops scattered around London. I love their Buontalenti Pistachio with layers of pistachio sauce made with Pistachios from California. Delicious!

Udderlicious, 24 Earlham Street, London WC2H 9LN: Married couple Raj and Raj opened Udderlicious in 2013. Their ice cream are all handmade in store. The ice cream is pasteurised, whisked, poured, churned and frozen with love and care. My personal favourite is their Sticky Toffee Pudding.
