 What an Experience!!!

"Wow... Gavin provided my family a true London experience. We spent 3 days with him walking the streets of London from Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, London Bridge and East London taking in street art. Not only does Gavin have a vast knowledge in the history of London but is family and personal experiences provide a true look into how London & The UK were shaped. I would highly recommend time with Gavin if you plan on experiencing London."

Chelsea

Let me take you through the beautiful quiet back streets of Chelsea where you will discover a part of London tucked away from the more touristy parts of the city. I have lived in this part of London for over 14 years and love sharing with my guests this charming and hugely historical part of the city.

Hear stories of the famous individuals who have called this neighbourhood home, from King Henry VIII's right-hand man, Thomas More, to literary icons such as Oscar Wilde. See where the people behind the Mini Skirt and the Punk revolution set up shop and where rock stars shopped, lived and partied!

Definitely a tour for visitors that want to get away from the more touristy areas of London and see how the "Chelsea Set" live.

Duration: 2.5 hours

Availability: Daily

You’ll see these highlights and much more along the way:

  • Visiting the beautiful "Arts & Crafts" Holy Trinity Church.

  • See the beautiful squares and houses of Chelsea.

  • Visit the 12th century Chelsea Old Church once used by Thomas More, Lord Chancellor to King Henry VIII, later to be beheaded at Tower Hill.

  • Have a look around the little food markets of Chelsea (Saturdays only)

  • Pass The Royal hospital Chelsea designed by the great English Baroque architect Sir Christopher Wren.

  • Walk along the "Kings Road" which helped shape fashion in the 60's and 70's, with the help of Mary Quant and Vivienne Westwood.

  • Pass the House where the poet and playwright Oscar Wilde lived.

  • Stop for a fairy cake at Peggy Porschen Bakery.

Why not combine this tour with a tour of Kensington Palace, or alternatively, a tour of Westminster Abbey and the Highlights of Westminster.
